Meet the Maker
Laura was born and raised in North Carolina. She graduated from Appalachian State University with degrees in theater and English. Following her passion for costuming to the west coast she met her husband and started a family. They moved to Austin several years ago to be closer to family. A homemaker and homeschooler, Laura started The Foxes Tail as a creative outlet. The business has grown online, and by doing markets around Austin. Participating in Austin’s West Studio Tour and Blue Genie Art Bazzar as well as San Antonio’s Handcrafted Wholesale and Boerne’s Handmade market. Laura incorporates upcycled materials to create sustainable, quality made products.

Zero Waste
A focus on sustainability while creating new useful products is the goal at The Foxes Tail. Upcycle bowls are made from left over home decor trims. Maps and Atlas' are re-purposed into one of a kind personal gifts. Map scraps are turned into brand tags and shredded for packing material. Sourcing locally, and using USA made materials is another way TFT stays eco friendly. Cotton rope is manufactured in North Carolina. Maps and fabrics are found at favorite shops around Austin!
